When you ask why we should care about these statistics, I think about all of the people I know affected by the disease and the toll it takes on the human body! And chances are you know someone affected by the disease too. People who are overweight or obese have a greater risk of developing Heart Disease, Type 2 Diabetes, Cancer, Osteoarthritis, Reproductive problems, Gallstones, Sleep Apnea and a host of other issues.
